Looking beyond myself this semester has opened my eyes to see the immense outpouring of blessings in my life. I am more aware of the needs of others and feel a strong urge to assist them. During our event, I remember running the karaoke music and seeing the joy of participants as they belted out the lyrics to their favorite songs. That joy is contagious.

There is one particular moment that really just captured, for me, why I love this opportunity that I have to serve. It was during our program, the ballroom team was performing, and I turned and saw one of our special needs participants. She had pulled her chair as close to the performers as she could get, and she was literally glowing, the smile on her face couldn't get any wider. I knew then that that was why I served.
