Wards and Stakes

Current BYU students are eligible to participate in Y-Serve programs. Since wards and stakes are a combination of BYU and non-BYU students, we suggest looking for service opportunities at JustServe.org. On their website you will find links to opportunities in your zipcode, including several that have connections to Y-Serve's community service providers. This means your ward may be working alongside volunteers from Y-Serve. Thank you for encouraging efforts to "enhance the quality of life in the community and assist the poor and needy."

Community Outreach Day

Each Martin Luther King day, wards and stakes have the opportunity to participate in Community Outreach Day which unites both the BYU and local communities in a celebration of giving. The event consists of a free breakfast, a cultural celebration, and the completion of various service projects throughout the area. As a one-day event, Community Outreach Day seeks to celebrate King’s legacy of selfless service and provide opportunities to serve God’s children within our community and throughout the world.
