What is 4-H Mentoring?
College-age mentors meet one-on-one with a youth each week to teach them how to make appropriate decisions, resolve conflicts peacefully and improve interpersonal skills.
Activities are planned by the mentor according to various interests and your schedule. It's very flexible! Twice a month there are also group activities, one for all mentors and their mentees, and another to which the families are invited as well.
Mentors meet 1-2 hours a week according to the mentor's schedule. Mentors should commit to one full year. This shows the child consistency. Mentor can write letters/call/text if expected to be out of Utah for an extended amount of time. Don't let being away for spring/summer semesters keep you from signing up!
We are always looking for Spanish speaking mentors as well!
