Volunteer Commitment/Duties: The event will be held from 7am-5pm, and the different responsibilities are outlined below.

Volunteer Commitment/Duties: The event will be held from 7am-5pm, and the different responsibilities are outlined below.
Judges (Age 21+)
- Judges interview teams, observe performance, and deliberate to award top achievements.
- Technical Judges (7 needed): Require background or experience in engineering, programming, or technical fields.
- Non-Technical Judges (7 needed): Open to backgrounds in business, marketing, technical writing, communication, or community outreach.
- Requirements: Free background check via the FIRST VMS system, virtual 1-hour training session, full-day availability on January 9th (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), and no direct affiliation/conflict with competing teams.
- Watch real-time matches on the field to gather key insights on robot performance, helping judges evaluate field accomplishments alongside team interviews
- Observe matches on the field to foster fair play, enforce game rules, and assist competitors in understanding gameplay. Day-of training is provided by the Head Referee.
- Observe matches, count game pieces, and input scoring achievements directly into the competition system.
