What is Adaptive Show Choir on the Move?

After seeing the impact of Adaptive Show Choir, we have decided to expand our outreach by creating a sister program: Adaptive Show Choir On The Move (ASCOTM)

ASCOTM brings the joy of music and movement directly to local day programs serving individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Volunteers join participants in learning songs and simple choreography, creating fun, interactive sessions that encourage friendship, self-expression, and confidence. By taking ASC out into the community, ASCOTM makes it possible for even more individuals to share in the excitement of singing, dancing, and connecting with others.

What are day programs? A day program is a supportive place where adults with disabilities spend the day learning new skills, making friends, and participating in fun, meaningful activities.

How do I get involved?

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteer Description: Responsibilities include participating in Choir Rehearsals by creating relationships with the choir members, showing them love and support.

Volunteer Commitment: Volunteers must be able to commit to one full semester. During Fall and Winter, rehearsals will occur every Friday from 10:30-11:30 am. They will place at the designated day program facility, please reach out for more information. If transportation is needed, a bus schedule or shuttle can be arranged. Please attend rehearsal consistently. There will also be a dress rehearsal and a concert at the end of the semester
