United Angels
What is United Angels?
United Angels' goal is to support parents and families of individuals with special needs. Volunteers assist with the ongoing Teen/Young Adult program for individuals with special needs. Groups meet twice a month, typically the 2nd and 4th Fridays, from 7-8:30 in the Provo/Orem/Lehi area. As a volunteer, you will:
- Assist teens and young adults with special needs.
- Teach social and life skills and participate in recreational activities.
- Help chaperone during activities, such as bowling at Jack and Jill Lanes or seeing a show at the Scera Theatre.

BECOME A LEADER
Volunteer Leader Description: There are two kinds of leadership positions: Lead Program Director and Program Director. A program only has one Lead Program Director, but multiple Program Directors. Leaders are generally responsible for overseeing recruitment, retention, and reflection with volunteers. They also coordinate service with community partners and ensure their program runs smoothly. Volunteer leaders may also share the responsibilities of volunteers as outlined in the Volunteer Description. For more information, visit our section called Be a Leader!
Volunteer Leader Commitment: In addition to volunteering, volunteer leaders commit to a 1-hour monthly team meeting to discuss needs and make plans for the program.

The experience with the kids is so fun and they are the sweetest people ever. You can see the light of Christ in all of them! I highly suggest that everyone should be a part of United Angels and join the community.
I've absolutely loved volunteering for United Angels. My first activity was helping the special needs youth play some pickleball. I went expecting to help them feel good and have a fun night, but it was me that left feeling good and having had one of the most fun nights in a long time. These are some of the best kids I've ever met and they make you feel like a million bucks. The help is extremely appreciated and it makes for an amazing time for everyone involved.
